There are many niches out there. Each of these niches makes a good market for a website. However, I must say I am very happy with how Christian websites work as a niche. Really. I have always desired a market where people are kind, willing, honest and religious market is what defines the best these concepts.

If you start a Christian website you should know that people are this way. Well, I guess that if you are into religion, you probably already know that because you see this around you every day. People are  kind and willing to help. That’s why is always good to give something back to the community, this is why I like giving free templates to religious community, because you have real people to give them to.

I was asked a few days ago if I run this website for profit or for non-profit. Well, this is an online store if you think about it, I sell religion templates, so you could say it runs for profit. Just that don’t think about it as a very large profit, but this site’s got to live. Visitors means bandwidth, visitors means templates stored on our server and all these mean storage space and again, all these mean money payed to the hosting company.Also a lot of work to maintain this website up and running. So running this website for non-profit would be only for a short time, then we would need to shut down.

But I do enjoy very much this religious website, it brings me much joy and accomplishment and I think that this is what it really matters on long term.

There are more and more Christian websites around and this can only make me happy. As long as the interest for religious sites, church websites, private ministry sites exists, this is a good sign and gives me a good feeling about how we are.

Christian websites form a specific market, because the people searching for them and visiting them know exactly what they are looking for and what to expect there. It is not as with other sites where the market is not that targeted. In such environments, people tend to have a large quantity of reliability and trust. E-commerce on church websites is better because the possibility to be cheated is small, Christians have a rate of trust that is very high.

Also, because of this, they form a quite compact circle and built their own Christian websites where you can find whatever one needs. Starting with church websites hosting to custom religious site design, to online ministries, you can find on the internet whatever you dream of regarding this particular but very trusty niche. Christian sites are here and will be for a long, long time!

I was happy these days to see how many people use my religion templates out there. I was happy because I have the feeling I help people by providing such free religion website templates, because not everybody afford buying a professionally designed Christian design and when somebody finds them for free, it’s just great!

The only thing I would like even more is the fact that people ask a designer to implement the template on their church website instead of doing it themselves when they don’t have enough skills. I have seen that some of the downloaded religion templates were implemented just great on their website, while others were just not doing the job.

But most of all, I think that what matters is the fact that when offering free religion templates for download, you help people. If the people using them have the feeling that they were helped to build their website, this is great! What more could you ask for?

Yes, I wouldn’t believe it, but Christian layouts became my number one criteria. I don’t know, maybe people started to look more for them on the internet or I have been ranked better, even if I did not do anything in the last period of time for this. Actually, because I realized that the quality of traffic is not that good when it comes to this, I have decided to never speak again about Christian layouts(like in MySpace Christian layouts) but I am just asking myself, could people looking for religion web site templates actually refer to them as layouts?

I don’t know if this is the case or not, the traffic remains, and I like it so I don’t complain, just that I hope people actually look for templates when they refer to Christian layouts because this way they find what they come for, otherwise not quite, if you get my point.

I am thinking to add a collection of church Flash templates, a separate section, to separate religious Flash templates from the rest, because they do stand out of the crowd. People interested in motion graphic religious websites may be very interested by these templates. Also why not having here a section of religious Mambo templates or Christian osCommerce themes?

I have upgraded the blog today and I needed to do a bit of “work around the house” since I haven’t upgrade it since a while, but now it is ok and everything works fine.
