I also know of 5 of our local churches who are interested in using Joomla on their sites. It's really a great CMS tool because their church admin can update the site once it's completed. This saves a LOT of money in the long run. The integration of so many modules makes their church site sing like a site that would normally cost a LOT more to create.

Only thing is getting the templates. Even if they weren't free templates, it would be worth it to many of us to pay a little bit for a good site design to go along with our joomla community sites.

Let me know when you have something for joomla and I'll definitely be interested. Right now I'm trying to learn how to create joomla templates myself, but I'd rather pay another christian and save some time.

Indeed, it would be nice to have such a community, Doug. We will try to provide some Joomla templates, I also intend to add some Wordpress, only to find the time for it...

I currently use Joomla for the web site of my father-in-law who is a missionary. I have also set up a men's ministry site using Joomla and am in the process of setting up our church's site on joomla. One thing that I have found is that it is difficult to find Christian themed templates to use and I find myself doing a lot of searching and modifying to get the look I want. I have always thought that it would be nice if there was a community of Christian designers who could contribute to a community of Joomla template designers.
