Due to the fact that I am continuously looking at my stats, I have observed that I am on the first page for “church design”. Again, I can not tell if somebody entering my site using “church design” search criteria is actually looking for church website design or for how to design a church building. It is funny and at the same time annoying.
I also looked on the first page of Google SERP for church design, to see what is there. As I have suspected, the first page of Google for church design is full of church architecture design, church decoration services and other similar church construction services, and less with church web design. But of course, I am there also…
Anyway, I have visited the sites of the companies building churches and I can only tell you church design is a great domain, with a lot of challenges. What amazed me is the fact that when building a church you have to follow the rules of the specific culture, religion and historical era for it. It may sound obvious but you should think a bit about this, the domain is huge and church architects really need to know a lot. Thank God that in church web design there are not that many rules and regulations that you need to follow!
About searches and stats
While looking through my blog statistics I found an entry for “free church building designs”. What would somebody looking for “free church building designs” search for? Would he look for blueprints for building a church or just for church web templates just that he didn’t know how to call them?
Anyway, as an observation: lately I have noticed that “religious websites” search brought me more visits than lately, which is a good thing, I thus have a growth on this area. Religious websites is quite a generic search since you can not tell what exactly a person looking for religious websites actually wanted. You can say that such a person was looking to see how religious websites look or say or refined the search after not finding what he wanted.
There are 2 types of searchers: shoppers and buyers. People searching for “religious websites” are shoppers, don’t know exactly what they want, so the probability to buy something from your site, even if it is a religious one, is small. Then, after a few searches, the searcher refines the search looking for something closer, such as religious website design or web design for churches, or custom web design for churches or custom church web design.
These last searches have a higher productivity, turn a searcher into a customer often while generic searches such as “religious websites” don’t often sell.

No time for religious websites
These last 2 month were very busy for me and I haven’t been able to take care of my websites. Not “the way I should have done it”, but just I haven’t been able to take care of any of my sites, I don’t even have a desk since I have just moved into a new apartment and I haven’t been able to buy one yet. I will go tomorrow to buy one and I hope to catch up again with my religious websites business.
I haven’t been able to post one small message here, to wish all of you a Merry Christmas so I take this opportunity to wish you all the best things that a person may wish! From my part, I am glad to say that I have received a lot this year. I have received peace of heart after 2 busy years, God helped me buy an apartment for me and my wife and I have managed to arrange it the way we wanted up to the last detail. That is a great thing that I thank God for and for which I am also very happy. I had 3 very busy month with day by day activity, not much time for my religious websites and actually for any activity at all related to websites.
But in a few days I will be able again to stay and work on my desk in front of my computer and post again about religious websits design and about church web templates and everything related to it. I will find the time, in a few days since I am about to finish cleaning and arranging everything here and after that…here I go!
When working on the internet, you need an internet connection, doh!
These last weeks I was not able to work on my site too much. Actually, due tot he fact that I had no internet connection at home (I am moving into a new apartment) I could not access it at all. I feel really bad about this, I was used to work on this site each and every day, even if the volume of work was not large. A few words here, a few free Christian designs here and there, that was what it takes for it to work.
However, these last weeks I didn’t find the resource for it. During day time I don’t find the time and during evening, I can not. Not a nice situation.
I planned that custom church design thing, as I have posted a few days ago here, but this requires me to stay connected to the site, which I can not for the next 2 weeks. Man, I need my internet connection back to get back to work on my free religious designs. I need it like I need water. Am I addicted to internet or what?
The only thing that I can say about this is that any internet related “worker” needs an internet connection. How bad is that? No internet connection when I deliver free website templates. The only way for me to write posts for the blog is to write them offline and to paste them here in the morning, when I have a bit of time, cause the rest of the day is full and busy, no time for blogging. That is one big problem, I was usually doing this in the evening, having the time to read also reactions from fellow Christian designers, to see some other Christian blogs, etc.

I ask myself if this idea I have about custom church web design will work. I think it will, having in mind the fact that I have a pretty targeted traffic here on MT. I will offer this kind of services, not right now. I also have other ideas about church website design services that I could implement on my website just that I need to make one step at a time in order to control the progress. The interesting idea is the fact that I offer church website design services, a pretty narrow service that I can use to the best of it’s possibilities.
There are web designers providing such services too, but I think I do have my advantage because of the fact that I have a good number of targeted visitors each month on my site and you, my visitors, are all looking for this kind of church web design services. Ok, maybe not custom but some of you also purchase church web templates so possibly also custom church web design for customizing the purchased templates.

I am considering adding to this site a new section, custom church web design. I am a website designer, so I am thinking to implement this on MT.com. This is for the moment an idea, not yet implemented, but as soon as I will have this ready in my head with all the details, I will add it here on my site and I will keep you informed about it.
